Amazon services map

Goals and objectives.

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is the world’s most comprehensive and broadly adopted cloud platform, offering over 165 fully featured services from data centers globally. Millions of customers —including the fastest-growing startups, largest enterprises, and leading government agencies—use AWS to power their infrastructure, become more agile, and lower costs.

The number of AWS services has grown exponentially over the last several years. Today, even a relatively simple application likely uses dozens of different AWS services. These services could be used in two or more different regions for redundancy and disaster recovery.

While AWS provides various tools to monitor infrastructure costs, it may be difficult to have a comprehensive view on all provisioned resources across different regions across different AWS accounts. The problem becomes even worse if there are several (potentially geographically dispersed) teams are involved.

The “AMAZON SERVICES MAP” project is here to fill the gap. It provides a single comprehensive view of all resources provisioned inside a set of AWS accounts across all regions helping to spot abandoned resources, enforce deployment policies, and  predict the overall monthly bill.

Prototype.

The UI style and colors are consistent with AWS style. Each card Represent one service.  Running and stopped services are shown in different colors.
